Location Lat 11° 3' 29N Long 124° 33' 55E Ormoc Airfield is located at an elevation of 83' in western Leyte in Leyte Province in the Eastern Visayas (Region VIII) of the Philippines. To the southeast is Ormoc and beyond Ormoc Bay. Construction Built prewar as a single runway surfaced with grass. Wartime History During the Pacific War, occupied by the Japanese. Unclear if used by Japanese aircraft. During December 1944 captured by the U.S. Army and was used by liaison planes. Today Still in use today as Ormoc Airport classified as a small airport.
