Location San Manuel Airifeld was located to the west of San Manuel in Tarlac Province on Luzon the Philippines. To the west is Tarlac (Tarlac City) and beyond the Manila-Dagupan Rail Road Line and Route 3 Highway. Also known as San Manuel Tarlac. Construction During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines. The Japanese Army built two runways in a "V" shape. The first oriented east to west measured 6,560' x 1,312' surfaced with grass. The second was oriented northeast to southwest measured 6,560' x 984'. Wartime History Used by the Japanese during the war. During the war, the Allies photographed a few Ki-49 and Ki-21 Sallys operating from this airfield, possibly as a forward operating base, or a dispersal location. Japanese units based at San Manuel Airfield 95th Sentai (Ki-49 Helen) possibly based here or utilized this airfireld During 1945, liberated by the U.S. Army with several wrecked Japanese aircraft in the vicinity.
