Location San Miguel Airfield is located near San Miguel in Tarlac Province on Luzon in the Philippines. To the west is the Manila Railroad to Capas and beyond the highway to Manila. To the south is an road parallel to the runway that terminates at nearby Tarlac Sugar Center and the Tabacalera Company Railroad line. To the north is Angat. Construction Built prewar by Compania General de Tabacos de Filipinas as a civil landing ground. Wartime History During late January 1945, liberated by the U.S. Army. At San Miguel Airfield, Allied Technical Intelligence Unit (ATIU) noted the wreckage of one Ki-61 Tony, two Ki-21 Sallys, one Ki-49 Helen, two advanced trainers and one Hickory. Today Disused since the Pacific War. During the 1960s, the former airfield became part of the Luisita Golf & Country Club.
