Location Tarlac Airfield was located at Tarlac in Tarlac Province on Luzon in the Philippines. Construction Built prewar as a single runway surfaced with grass, classified as a Civilian National Landing Field. The USAFFE listed the airfield as one that could be used for deployment and dispersal in case of hostilities. Wartime History During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines used by the Japanese as a military airfield. Used by the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) to deploy operational training units to the forward area flying advanced trainer planes. During January 1945 liberated by the U.S. Army. At Tarlac Airfield, Allied Technical Intelligence Unit (ATIU) noted the wreckage of one N1K George.
