The Edge of Nowhere 1978
Location
Lat 5° 11' 3S Long 144° 24' 43E  Dustin Airport is located at an elevation of 6,300' to the north of Dustin in the mountains at the center of New Guinea. Today located in Madang Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Construction
Built by the Reverend Daryl A. Schendel a Church of the Nazarene missionary working with the Kobon people in central New Guinea to provide the first aerial link this remote mountainous area. The first aircraft to land was Cessna 185 Skywagon operated by Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF).

Today
Still in use today by light aircraft and helicopters. Airport code ICAO: AYDS.
