Location Lat 6° 13' 60S Long 145° 40' 60E Finintegu Airfield was located at Finintegu in the Eastern Highlands Province in Papua New Guinea at an elevation of 1,995m. Also known as Komaka or Kumoka. Construction Finintegu Airfield was a single runway surfaced with grass. Wartime History During 1943-1945, used by the Allies as a military airfield by C-47 transport aircraft and other planes. Postwar Finintegu Airfield remained in use until at least the early 1950s. On April 1, 1952 while landing at Finintegu Airfield, C-47B Dakota A65-124 suffered a landing accident landing at this airfield. Afterwards, repaired over three and a half months at the airfield then departed on July 21, 1952. Today Disused today. Contribute
