Location
Lat 5° 49' 58S Long 145° 5' 50E  Keglsugl Airfield is located at an elevation of 8,400' / 2,600m to the west of Keglsugl in the Chimbu Valley. Today located in Chimbu Province (Simbu) of Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Construction
Built prewar to support the Dengagu Catholic Mission.

On February 2, 1939 Klemm L25-D11 "St. Paulus" VH-UUR piloted by Willy Schafhausen took off from Alexishafen Airfield (Danip Airfield) on a flight via Mondia Pass into the Chimbu Valley before making the first landing of an aircraft at the newly built Keglsugl Airfield.

Today
Still in use today as Keglsugl Airport. Airport code: IATA: KEG
