Wartime History
Built prewar. Used as a staging base for Soviet aircraft being ferried to forward airfields in Mongolia during the Battle of Khalkhin Gol (Nomonhan Incident) during May - September, 1939.

Still in use today by several airlines including Air China, Iraero, S7 Airlines, Ural Airlines and VIM Airlines. Airport code IATA: HTA, ICAO: UIAA
