Location
Lat 13° 49' 48S 172° 0' 30W Faleolo Airfield is lcoated to the east of Faleolo on the northwest coast of Upolu Island in Samoa (Western Samoa, British Samoa). Roughly 25 miles to the east is Apia.
Construction
Built by U.S. Navy (USN) SeaBees, as an extension of U.S. Naval Station Tutuila and the Samoa Defense Group Area to protect Upolu and Savai'i. Completed during July 1942
the main runway was 4,000' x 200' and later extended to 6,000' x 350' during March 1943 with taxiways, support buildings and two hangers.

Today
Still in use today as a civilian airport and airport of entry known as "Faleolo International Airport" or "Faleolo Airport" providing air service to the Apia area. The single runway is oriented 26/08 measures 9,843' x 148' sufaced with asphalt. Airport codes: ICAO: NSFA IATA: APW. Serviced by Samoa Air, Fiji Link and Inter Island Airways, Air New Zealand.
