Location Lat 1° 23' 14N Long 103° 42' 31E Tengah Airfield is located in the western interior of Singapore Island. To the north is Sungei Buloh Airfield. Construction Built prewar as a military airfield with three intersecting runways. Wartime History Used by the Royal Air Force (RAF). After the Japanese occupation, used by the Japanese for the duration of the Pacific War until the official surrender of Japan in September 1945. Postwar During the Malaysia Crisis, used by Royal Air Force (RAF) No. 84 Squadron Bristol Brigands for air support against the Communist Insurgency in Malaysia.
