Attempted Salvage from Ballale
Photos by Andrew Dickes, January 28, 2006
In December 2005 Japanese aircraft relics were moved to the beach area of Ballale Island by locals for export by Craig Turner / Solomon Islands Museum Project. Their removal was halted by locals until November 8, 2007 when Turner returned with buyer Greg Spooner and resumed the salvage.
