Location
Lat 44° 29' 6N Long 88° 7' 47W  Austin Straubel Airport is located at an elevation of 695' above sea level west of Green Bay, Wisconsin in the Midwestern Region of the United States of America (USA). Originally, known as Austin Straubel Field. Later, renamed Austin Straubel Airport. On August 17, 2016 renamed Green Bay Austin Straubel Airport.

Construction
Built postwar as a civilian airport servicing the Green Bay, Wisconsin area and opened for air traffic in 1948.

Naming Honors
On August 28, 1949 dedicated as Austin Straubel Field in honor of Lt. Col Austin A. Straubel pilot B-18 Bolo 36-338 crashed February 3, 1942 west of Soerabaja on Java.

Outside the airport is a large 17' 6" granite monument with an eagle atop, command pilot wings and aircraft in flight at the entrance to the airport off Airport Drive. The monument is dedicated to the war dead of Brown County, Wisconsin. The memorial was donated by Carl A. Straubel, father of Lt. Col Austin A. Straubel.

Inside the terminal is a memorial plaque. In late 2016, a three panel display about Austin A. Straubel was installed in the airport terminal that was conceived and designed by John Dodds with graphic design assistance from Susan Linders.

Today
Still in use today as Austin Straubel Airport or Austin Straubel International Airport with three runways. The first is oriented 24/06 measures 7,700' x 150' surfaced with concrete. The second is oriented 30/12 measures 3,198' x 78' surfaced with asphalt. The third is oriented 36/18 measures 8,201 x 150' surfaced with concrete. Airport codes: FAA: GRB ICAO: KGRB IATA: GRB.
