Location Havannah Harbor Airfield is located on the northwest of Efaté Island. borders Matapu Bay and Havannah Harbor to the north and the take off and landing area for Havannah Harbor Seaplane Base to the northwest. Also known as Fighter Strip, Havannah Harbor Field or Havannah Field. Prewar and during World War II located in New Hebrides. Today located in Shefa Province in the Republic of Vanuatu. Construction Havannah Harbor Airfield had a single runway measuring 4,000' x 180' oriented roughly east to west. The south side of the runway had taxiways and revetments and the control tower. Wartime History During the Pacific War, used by U.S. fighter aircraft. Today Disused since the war. The former airfield is overgrown. Contribute
