Location Eora Creek War Cemetery was located at Eora Creek (Iore Creek). Today located in Oro Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Wartime History During October 1942, Eora Creek War Cemetery was established at this location for casualties from the 2/1st Infantry Battalion sustained during the Battle of Eora Creek. In total, 99 Australians were killed. Sometime after April 1944, the graves were later exhumed and transported to Kokoda War Cemetery then transported to Bomana War Cemetery for permenant burial.
