reconnaissance mission over Kiska. A P-40 on defensive patrol crashes
at Elmendorf Field.
USAAF: B-26 Marauders from the 42nd BG, 69th BS arrive at Plaine Des Gaiacs Airfield on New Caledonia.
RAAF: Wirraway A20-506 crashed on a training flight.
USN: Launched is
SS Matthew P. Deady at Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation in Portland.
