Royal Navy: HMS Sussex (96) enters Singapore Harbor as part of "Operation Tiderace" and after anchoring Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) 7th Area Army commander General SeishirĊ Itagaki was brought aboard to sign the instrument of surrender of all Japanese forces under his command on Singapore or Malaysia.
