USAAF: SSgt Paul J. Cascio, Jr. is liberated from Tokyo POW Camp (Shinjuku) Tokyo Bay Area 35-140. He was the only member of the crew of B-17E "Flagship Texas No. VI / Strip-Straffer" 41-9207 to survive captivity, the rest of the crew died in the crash or were executed.

7th AF: A team from 7th Air Air Force Combat Camera Unit (7th AAFCCU) including cameraman Carmichael visits Tokuno Airfield and recorded film footage of Japanese planes that were destroyed on the ground.
