USAAF: Liberated from Malaya POW Camp is 1st Lt. Lloyd K. Jensen pilot B-24 Liberator crashed March 31, 1943.

Liberated from Osaka Main Camp Chikko Osaka are Ensign Herbert R. Hein, Jr., AOM3c Joseph D. Strahl and S1c Marshal E. "Windy" Windham crew of TBD-1 Devastator 1515.

JAAF: Ki-21 Sally while landing at Penfoei Airfield suffers the right undercarriage collapsed but the crew and passengers are unhurt including Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Lt. General Kunitaro Yamada commander 48th Division who will surrender tomorrow.
