FRIDAY, 19 OCTOBER 1945

Australian Army: a patrol from the Australian Army, 7th Division led by Sgt Harold Brokenshire visits the crash site of B-24J Liberator 44-41078. The team failed to identify the aircraft or find any traces of the crew.

FEAF: On a ferry flight back to the United States, B-32 "Harriet's Chariot" 42-108543 lands at John Rodgers Field on Oahu.

USN: USS New York (BB-34) arrives New York and will remain for Navy Day Fleet Review in New York Harbor on October 27, 1945.
