USA: The Medal of Honor earned by Sgt Leroy Johnson posthumously by Sgt was presented by his mother by Col. John H. Carruth, C.O. of Camp Clalborne at a special memorial service at the West Baptist Bible Church in Oakdale.
USN: PT-122 and PT-130 was stripped of parts and sunk off Samar.
RAN: HMAS Bundaberg (J231) arrived in namesake Bundaberg where it was given an official reception by grateful citizens.
