SATURDAY, 16 NOVEMBER 1946 20th AF: Lost is C-46F 44-78961 (MIA) crashed into the sea east of Iwo Jima. USN: The posthumous Medal of Honor earned by Commander George F. Davis is presented to his widow by Secretary of the Navy James Forrestal
