Location Battery Gillespie is located at Fort Hughes on Caballo Island at the entrance of Manila Bay in the Philippines. Construction Built by the U.S. Army with an emplaced 14" M1910 gun on 14" Disappearing Carriage Limited Fire (DCLF) M1907 mount. Wartime History On April 10, 1942 after the fall of Bataan, sailors from gunboat USS Luzon (PR-7) helped crew this gun battery. Contribute
