Gun History Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as a twin mount Type 89 12cm Gun / 127mm Anti-Aircraft Gun serial numbers unknown. Wartime History This gun was transported to Truk Lagoon and installed as one of two guns in a concrete emplacement near the summit of Mount Uinku on Eten Island. Behind the gun is the entrance to a tunnel that connects to other defensive positions. Wreckage This gun remains in situ. The left gun barrel remains and the right gun barrel is missing or removed.
