Wartime History Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as a Twin 127mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Type 89. This gun was emplaced on Nauru Island. On September 13, 1945 surrendered intact as part of the island's defenses. On September 14, 1945 inspected by personnel from the Australian Army 31/51st Infantry Battalion.
