Wartime History
Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as 25mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Type 96 (1936) in a triple mount configuration. Weapon serial numbers unknown. This gun was transported to Rabaul and emplaced at Gunanur Plantation at Vunakanau Airfield.
Wreckage
This gun was recovered from Gunanur Plantation and transported to the Kokopo Museum and is displayed outdoors in the back yard area.
