Wartime History
Type 92 Battalion Gun serial number unknown. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA). During 1943, transported to Kolombangara Island and emplaced outside a tunnel entrance. During October 1943, abandoned when the Japanese evacuated Kolombangara Island.
Wreckage
The barrel of this gun remains in situ
outside the same tunnel entrance on
Kolombangara Island. Missing are the shield, wheels and split-trail carriage.
