Location Lat 21° 56' 25S Long 114° 7' 30E Exmouth is located at an elevation of 3' above sea level on the North West Cape in the northwest of Western Australia in Australia. Borders Exmouth Gulf to the west. Located roughly midway between Perth and Broome. Wartime History On September 2, 1943 using a captured vessel MV Krait (formerly Kofuku Maru) departs Exmouth for "Operation Jaywick" a secret mission to attack Japanese shipping in Singapore Harbor. Aboard were a total of fourteen crew and Australian Army "Z Force" (Z Special Unit) commandos under the command of Major Ivan Lyon. Afterwards, returns to Exmouth on October 19, 1943. Contribute
