Location
The Torres Strait Islands are located in the Torres Strait in Queensland in Australia. Also known as simply the "Torres Straits". Borders the Coral Sea to the east and Arafura Sea to the west. To the south is the northern tip of the Cape York Peninsula. To the north is the international border with Papua New Guinea (PNG) and the southern coast of New Guinea that is part of Western Province (Fly).
