November 1, 1943
(USMC) U.S. Marines land at Torokina at Empress Augusta Bay on Bougainville.

November 8, 1943
(13th AF) Six B-25's hit targets of opportunity at the month of the Laruma River and northwest of Torokina.

November 29, 1943
(13th AF, USN) P-39's join USN dive bombers hit gun positions south of Torokina Plantation.

December 7, 1943
(RNZAF) Torokina is bombed by two PV-1 Venturas on patrol.

December 8, 1943
(13th AF) Fighter patrols and aircraft on armed reconnaissance bomb and strafe targets southeast of Cape Torokina.

January 1, 1944
(13th AF) Two B-24's, severely damaged during raid to Lakunai, crash lands at Torokina.
(13th AF, USN) Allied fighters join USN dive bombers in support of ground forces in the Torokina area.
