    Tinputs Harbor (Tinputz Harbor) Autonomous Region of Bougainville Papua New Guinea
Location
Lat 5° 32' 3S Long 154° 57' 55E  Tinputs Harbor borders Tinputz on the northeast corner of Bougainville. Also spelled Tinputz Harbor. Prewar and during the Pacific War, part of Kieta District in the Territory of New Guinea and considered part of the North Solomons, Northern Solomons. During 1975 became Bougainville Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). On June 25, 2002 became the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB). Today located in Tinputz Rural LLG of Northern Bougainville District.

Wartime History
During early 1942 occupied by the Japanese until the official surrender of Japan in September 1945. Used as an anchorage for small ships and barges.
