Location Lat 25° 31' 22N Long 96° 42' 44E Kamaing is located at an elevation of 830' / 252m above sea level in the Mogaung Valley. Connected by the Road northward to Shaduzup and to the southeast is Mogaung (Mogoung). Today located in Kachin State in Burma (Myanmar). Wartime History Occupied by the Japanese. Attacked by American aircraft between 1943 until the middle of 1944. By May 19, 1944 the Chinese Nationalist Army 22nd Division and 38th Division had encircled Kamaing and the area was captured by the Allies.
