Location Lat 24° 18' 45N Long 109° 23' 21E Liuchow is located at an elevation of 265' / 80m in southeastern China. Today located in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. Also known as Liuzhou. Located 100 miles to the north is Kweilin (Guilin). Prewar connected by the Wuchang-Liuchow railroad line. Wartime History Used as an important base during 1943, On November 10, 1944, the Japanese 11th Army captured Liuchow. On July 1, 1945 Chinese forces liberate Liuchow.
