Location
Lat 22° 49' 0N Long 108° 19' 0E  Nanning is located at an elevation of 232' / 70m above sea level in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southeastern China. Today, Nanning is the capital of the region.

Wartime History
During late 1944 occupied by the Japanese Army. Attacked by American aircraft during late 1944 until April 1945. On May 26, 1945 the Chinese forces recapture Nanning and the area was under Allied control until the end of the Pacific War.
