Location
The Galápagos Islands span the equator surrounded by the Pacific Ocean in Galápagos Province of Ecuador. The islands are located 563 miles west of continental Ecuador.
On August 1, 1942 Naval Base, Galapagos Islands was established.
Seymour Island
Seymour Island is part of the Galápagos Islands off Baltra Island.
Seymour Island Airfield (Seymour Airport)
Used by the USAAF during World War II, still in use today
