Location
Sepwit Island is located to the west of Langarr Island off Pohnpei Island (Ponape) in Ponape State in the Federated States of Micronesia. Also spelled "Sepwet Island".

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, occupied by the Japanese. Sepwit was developed with administrative buildings, water tanks, generators and tunnels. Japanese occupied the island until the official surrender of Japan on September 2, 1945.

Today
Today, Sepwit Island is owned by the Adams Family.

Japanese searchlight and 75mm Field Gun Battery
The Japanese had a searchlight and gun battery of four 75mm guns.

Tunnel
There is a large tunnel cut right through the central ridge of the island. During the war, the island was heavily bombed.
