Location Temwen Island is located to the southeast of Pohnpei (Ponape) in the Madolenihmw District. The the site of the ruins of Nan Madol, the capital of the Saudeleur dynasty dating back to the 12th-13th century. Temwen Fortress Japanese built coastal defense fortress defending the entrance to Madolenihmw Harbor. At this location were emplaced four 150mm Naval Guns.
