Witness Alan S. Lloyd points to the bomb crater on the southern slope of Mount Tantalus on Oahu
The crater was created on March 4, 1942 at 2:10am by the explosion of one of four 250kg (551 lbs) bombs released by H8K1 Emily Tail Y-71 (No. 1) pilot Lt. Hisao Hashizume attempting to bomb Pearl Harbor but the target was obscured by clouds and blackout conditions on the ground.
