Location Lat 0° 19' 60 S Long 122° 0' 0E The Togian Island Group (Togian Islands) are located in the Gulf of Tomini surrounded by Sulawesi (Celebes) to the north, west and south and and the Molucca Sea to the east. Also spelled Togean Island Group (Togean Islands). Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in the Tojo Una-Una Regency, Central Sulawesi Province (Sulawesi Tengah) in Indonesia. The Togian Archipelago includes 56 islands including: Unauna Island (Una-una Island), Batudaka Island (Pulau Batudaka), Togian Island (Togean Island), Welea Kodi, Malenge, Welea Kepulauan, Dolong and Walea Bahi Island (Waleabahi Island, Pulau Waleabahi). Today During 2004, the Indonesian government established the Kepulauan Togean National Park that includes part of the Togian Islands to protect the coral reefs, land and forests.
