(FEAF) 80 B-24s, 118 B-25s, and 220+ P-47s and P-38s pound the Kumamoto area.

Matsubase (Uki)
Matsubase was a town located in Shimomashiki District. On January 15, 2005 Matsubase was merged with the towns of Misumi and Shiranuhi, both from Uto District, and the towns of Ogawa and Toyono, from Shimomashiki District, to form the new city of Uki and no longer exists as an independent municipality.
