Location Lat 40° 23' 7N Long 127° 15' 10E Hagaru-ri 하갈우리 (Hagaru village) is off the southern tip of the Chosin Reservoir (Changjin) in South Hamgyŏng Province in Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea). Connected by road to Sinhung-ni to the west, Hudong-ni to the northeast is Yudam-ni to the northwest and Hell Fire Valley and Kot'o-ri to the south. Also known as Kageiguri, Hakalwoo-ri, Kagegŭri, Kakatsugŭ-ri, Kageguri, Kakatsugu-ri or 하갈우리. Hagaru-ri Airfield (Changjin-up Airfield, Chosin) Forward airfield located east of Hagaru-ri.
