Location
Lat 4° 34' 38S Long 81° 16' 9W Talara (Puerto Talara) is located at an elevation of 75' / 22m above sea level in northwestern Piura Region of Peru bordering the Pacific Ocean. Prewar oil refineries were built around this location that refined the only aviation grade fuel on the west coast of South America.
