Location
Lat 8° 56' 57N Long 125° 32' 37E Butuan is located in Agusan Del Norte Province near the northern coast of Mindanao in the Philippines. Ofshore is Butuan Bay. Today known as Butuan City or City of Butuan.
Wartime History
During 1945, a battalion from the US Army 31st Infantry Division landed at Butuan Bay, and
then proceeded up the Agusan River for sixty miles, to hit the rear of Japanese Army positions.

Wartime airfield used during the war, No 1 (Bnakase) and No 2.
