| Location Sarangani Bay borders Sarangani Province on the southern coast of Mindanao Island in the southern Philippines.
 
 Wartime History
 On July 12, 1945 the Sarangani Task Force (Sarangani TF) lands the  24th Infantry Division (24th ID), 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion on the north shore of Sarangani Bay without opposition. The landing is supported by U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) aviation. This was the last amphibious operation of the Philippines campaign. Meanwhile, U.S. Army advancing from Lake Buluanis reaches a point 20 miles northeast of Sarangani Bay while a battalion of guerrilla 108th Div reaches point 15 miles northeast  of bay; guerrilla 116th Inf clears additional areas along bay's shore. On July 20, 1945 the last organized Japanese resistance in Sarangani Bay area ends.
