Location Lat 14° 4' 58N Long 121° 9' 2E Tanauan is located to off the northeast corner of Taal Lake in Batangas Province on Luzon in the Philippines. The name Tanauan comes from the word "tanawan" meaning a viewing place or a good spot to look at a certain view. Tanauan Airfield Built by the US Army, completed December 1941.
