Rows of Japanese Army equipment surrendered at
Namatanai on New Ireland
In the center are two personel from the Australian Army, 11th Infantry Battalion, 13th Infantry Brigade. The rows of surrendered equipment include artillery ammunition carriers with spoked wheels and metal wheels, at least three large howitzers possibly 150mm Howitzers and in the background are rows of Japanese Army tanks including Type 95 Ha Go Light Tank and Type 97 Chi Ha medium tanks.
