Location Lat 7° 3' S Long 147° 1' E Busama is located inland from the north coast of New Guinea. to the west of Salamaua. Also spelled Busana incorrectly in some sources. Prewar located in the Morobe District in Territory of New Guinea. Today located in Salamaua Rural LLG, Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Wartime History In early March 1942 occupied by the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) after landing at Salamaua.
