Location
Lat 10 22 S Long 149 44 E Orangeire Bay is located on the southern coast of New Guinea. Orangeire Bay is roughly 22 miles wide from east to west. At the western end is Baibara Island (Beri-beri) is located offshore. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Territory of Papua. Today spans Central Province and Milne Bay Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
