Location Kaimbe Island is located at the eastern end of Munda Harbor off southern New Georgia. Also spelled Kiaba Island. To the west is larger Kilivirai Island. On the southern coast of New Georgia to the northwest is Munda, north is Kia and to the east is Olsen's Landing. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the British Solomon Islands Protectorate (BSIP). Today located in Western Province in the Solomon Islands.
