Location North Pass (North Passage) is located in Truk Lagoon in Chuuk State (Truk) in the Federated States of Micronesia. Also known as Mochonap Pass. To the east is Tonelik Island (Pisemew Ne Shima, Ko Shima) and to the west is Pis Island (Piis). To the north is the Pacific Ocean and to the south is Truk Lagoon. Wartime History During the Pacific War, North Pass was the primarly northern entrance for shipping entering or departing Truk Lagoon.
