| Location Lat 18° 48' 0S Long 169° 4' 60E Erromango Island is located in Tafea Province in southern Vanuatu (New Hebrides). Includes Ifo, Potnarvin, Unpongkor and Happy Land. Erromango is approximately 48 km from the northwest tip to the southeast, and is 20-30 kilometers wide. The highest point is Mount Santop. Mount Santop Mountain on Erromango Island with the summit at an elevation of 886m. P-40F Warhawk Serial Number 41-14205 Pilot Talbot force landed December 20, 1942. Recovered in 1989. P-40F "Bone Crusher" Serial Number 41-14112 Pilot Head force landed December 20, 1942. Recovered in 1989. Ipota Airport Located near Ipota village on the southeast corner of Erromango Island.
